Local Organization Launches Junior Sports Development Program

A new Junior Sports Development program is launching in the community, aimed at fostering young athletes’ skills and promoting physical activities. The initiative is scheduled to start on January 15, 2026, at the City Sports Complex.

The program focuses on children aged 8 to 14 and will offer various sports training, including soccer, basketball, and swimming. Sessions will be held twice a week, aiming to provide participants with both fundamental skills and competitive experience.

Organized by the Community Recreation Department, the program also involves local sports clubs and high school coaches. Officials say this collaboration aims to create a supportive environment for youth athletes, encouraging teamwork and personal growth.

Previous sports development initiatives in the area have shown positive results, with increased participation in local leagues. This new program is intended to enhance opportunities for young people to engage in sports and promote healthier lifestyles.

Interested parents can enroll their children through the Community Recreation Department’s website or by visiting the office before January 5, 2026. The program has limited spots available to ensure focused training.
